Four Rhythms for Sustained Emotional, Spiritual and Relational Health. This session will explain how the input rhythms of REST and RESTORE equip us to thrive in the output rhythms of CONNECT and CREATE, to love our neighbors and collaborate in kingdom purpose and callings. Presenter: Rebekah Lyons is a national speaker and bestselling author of three books including Rhythms of Renewal: Trading Stress and Anxiety for a Life of Peace and Purpose.
Four Ways to Lead in our Cultural Moment. Asking the right questions is critical to solve problems. The Christian faith has much to offer to our current cultural moment, but Christians must have the wisdom to discern how to engage. From understanding the roots of conviction, confrontation and creativity, Gabe will inspire participants to use the talents and gifts God’s given them to bless the world. Presenter: Gabe Lyons founded Q in 2007, a media and events platform that educates and mobilizes Christians to advance the common good in society.
Four Essentials for Loving Your Neighbor. Jesus has called us to pursue the people around us for the sake of the gospel. But what does that look like? In this breakout we’ll uncover 4 essential features of gospel relationships that Jesus used with his own disciples. What Jesus did then is what He empowers us to do now! Presenter: Ricky Jenkins has been preaching the gospel all over the country, and is currently the Senior Pastor of Southwest Church in Indian Wells, CA. Southwest is a thriving, gospel-centered, multiethnic, intergenerational community of believers. Ricky is currently pursuing a Ph. D in Historical Theology, specifically researching pastoral leadership, racial reconciliation, and issues of justice during the Civil Rights movement.
Equipping All Believers for Organic Outreach - The Tools of Evangelism. People need to hear about Jesus, but they also need to see Him. As His ambassadors on this earth, we are to reflect His love, show His heart, and incarnate His presence wherever God sends us. By shifting our actions to be more outwardly-focused we can be more effective in reaching others with the Gospel. Presenters: Organic Outreach International-Rev. Dr. Kevin Harney is the Lead Pastor and Sherry Harney is the Executive Director of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship at Shoreline Church in Monterey, CA.
Loving Across the Lines of Difference: Race, Sexuality and Politics: The troubling dynamic of outrage -- of "trusting in ourselves that we are right, and treating others with contempt" (Luke 18:9) -- is as old as time. In today's climate, outrage is especially rampant around contested issues such as race, sexuality, and politics, just to name a few. Presenter: Scott Sauls, Nashville pastor and author, will help us examine the counter-cultural way of Jesus in a culture that is turning in on itself. Specifically, we will look at how gentleness, which is a fruit of the Spirit as well as a word Jesus used to describe himself, can become our "secret weapon" in an age of us-against-them.
Breakthrough! (Part 2): How the right Measures lead to dramatically stronger Kingdom results. God is in the business of changing lives. We know this. We feel this. But how do we measure it… without putting God in a box? Learn how to translate abstract ideas into quantifiable data to inform your organization’s next steps. Bring your dreams for your ministry, and walk away with effective tools to evaluate what steps to take for greater life change and community transformation. Presenter: Clint Grider is a respected vision optimizer who has been guiding leaders through vision clarity processes for over 25 years.
